I grew up in the world of fashion and design.
My family owned a specialty women's store in
Reading, PA, The Heather Shop. Even as a five
year-old, I loved accompanying my parents
on buying trips to NYC fashion designers' and
legendary milliners' showrooms.
As you can see in the picture, my sister, Michelle,
and I, as youngsters, played store and styled each
other in clothing from our closets. The game
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania,
I entered Bloomingdales' Executive Training
Program, which led to styling Fashion Accessories
at their flagship New York store. Lina Lee of Beverly Hills and Trump Tower
recruited me to sell and style movie stars, executives and philanthropists. FAO Schwarz of Fifth Avenue recruited me to oversee a redesign of concept, merchandising and display that elevated the store to Fifth Avenue style, while establishing everyday prices.
In 1988 I founded Claster and Company, specializing in events and gifts for marketing and entertaining. The media took note when Savvy Magazine listed it among the top 10 gift companies in New York City. Entrepreneur Magazine, Ad Specialty and Crain's Business New York interviewed me about industry trends.
In 1991 I wrote Modern Living and Modern Giving. More than 45 clients sought my expertise, hiring me as their national media spokesperson. Known as "The Gift Doctor",
I appeared on and styled segments for OPRAH, TODAY, CBS This Morning and CNN.
In 2002, I designed and manufactured a licensed accessories brand Tessuta for 90 colleges and all Major League Baseball teams.
As an empty nester, I am dedicated to helping clients live confidently, comfortably and successfully in their own style. In my spare time I exercise, support local, efficient and transformative charity and enjoy family and friends. I live with my husband, Andy, and our Havanese, Pablo, and our Basset Hound, Bambino in Florida.
